Hello, Jaguitar, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} and your question on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

We hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~. Getting started

[edit]

Well, the Chinese military history task force would be a good place to start. This template lists some of the articles that need starting/cleanup/expansion. Make sure you read the relevant policies: especially the verifiability one. Everything on Wikipedia needs to be verifiable if someone wants to question the source. So, I would be careful when editing without sources that are verifiable. And, in reference to List of destroyer classes, you can edit it yourself to remedy the issues as long as you can provide sources to back it up. If you have any questions, or need any help, then don't hesitate to ask. Regards. Woody (talk) 19:49, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What do Seminoles eat for dinner in Florida?

[edit]

Gator tail! I appreciate it. What pages do you frequent that I've stopped by on (or possibly written)? Oh, you may get us this year, but as soon as Bobby is outta here, and Jimbo has 100% control (currently, he has about 85-90%) it will be a completely different story.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 15:51, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I've written those Smallville pages. I'm working on a rewrite for the Freddy Kreuger page at the moment (similar to what I've done with Jason Voorhees and Michael Myers (Halloween)). I don't follow college football that much. I watch the games, and I worked with one of the players on the team in my internship, so I have some inside info, but that's about it. From what I hear, next year is going to be our year (though, I hope it's this year).  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 13:19, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Always looking for assistance. If you find any reliable sources, you can either dump them at User talk:Bignole/Sandbox, or you can go ahead and add it to the sandbox yourself. If you check it out you'll see that I haven't even begun the literature section. If you want to take a look at how I handled Jason's literature section, and Michael's literature section, and spruce that up (in case you cannot find any sources and just want to help) please feel free. It's been awhile since I've worked on that sandbox (been busy trying to get all those Smallville articles up to snuff...the latest one was Characters of Smallville, which I created to house the 7 season articles on all the characters in the show).  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 15:14, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That'll be cool too.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 15:23, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The user page looks good. As for the article, I don't know a lot about articles on "real world" things, so I don't know if it meets the notability requirements for a specific subject (if there is one for government bodies...It could be this guideline). At first glance it looks ok, but you may want to remove the citation from the header. Typically, they shouldn't be there because it upsets the coding in the header program (Hence why the line underneath is connected to the text, instead of spaces away).  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 10:10, 9 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Userbox

[edit]

Sorry I didn't get to reply faster, I've been out of town. Sure, I can make that box for you! I'll get right on it! Do you by any chance have a like to an image of the Navy CT Rank insignia? ~ PHDrillSergeant...§ 20:23, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Here you go! And welcome to Wikipedia! ~ PHDrillSergeant...§ 02:30, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

{{User:PHDrillSergeant/Userboxes/USN CT}}

Also: as a note, your signature links to User:Bignole's page. You might want to fix that! ~ PHDrillSergeant...§ 02:33, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Making userboxes into one line like that isn't difficult. It uses Wikipedia's template engine as a shortcut. First, create a new page in your userspace (like User:Jaguitar/NewUserbox). Design your userbox in that page -- Instructions on how to make a userbox are available at WP:UBX. When you're done, take the link to that page and put brackets around it in the page so it looks like this:
{{User:Jaguitar/NewUserbox}}
When you do that, it will appear as that userbox. the one I posted up above would look like this:
If you have any more questions, feel free to ask me! I hope I haven't made it too confusing. ~ PHDrillSergeant...§ 02:42, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OTRS

[edit]

Please see here for information: WP:OTRS.  Asenine  20:13, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Note also that it is not sufficient for Mrs. Kiester to release "this photo to accompany her biographies, as printed in her books, and alongside articles in other media" - it must be freely available for anyone to use for any purpose; this would include commercial purposes and even unflattering purposes. You can see a sample permission here --Rlandmann (talk) 20:26, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It would depend on what license she released it under. She would have to declare it through OTRS anyway.  Asenine  09:44, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the barnstar!

Much appreciated. Feel free to drop me a line if you ever need more help! ~ PHDrillSergeant...§ 05:43, 23 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:ILRlogo.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:ILRlogo.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
